Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chef, located in Tokyo. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, planning menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. The role involves supervising kitchen staff, creating recipes, maintaining budgets for food supplies, and working collaboratively with the team to deliver impeccable dining experiences. Additionally, the Chef will contribute to the overall vision of the restaurant by bringing creativity and passion to the culinary offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
- Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and understanding of food trends.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards and practices.
- Leadership and teamwork skills to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of budget management and inventory control.
- Passion for food and creativity in exploring new techniques and flavors.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in an upscale or fast-paced restaurant setting preferred.
