We are seeking a Manager, Technology Systems and Operations - North Asia to lead a service organization focused on quality interactions at scale and enabling access to simple and effective technology quickly. This person will understand technology deeply but have frictionless conversations with anyone, thrive in ambiguity, and build great teams. They will work with, for, and through others to succeed by building a culture of trust and resilience. The role will be based in our Tokyo office and involve building strong partnerships with business stakeholders and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have fluency in English and Japanese, significant proven experience in managing a team of IT professionals, and strong communication skills to partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders. They will also have expertise in utilizing metrics and data to analyze and assess business priorities, drive decision making, and measure success toward organizational goals. Responsibilities include living the company culture, managing teams, advocating for improving Netflix employee productivity, building strong partnerships, and collaborating with regional stakeholders. Requirements include fluency in English and Japanese, significant proven experience in managing a team of IT professionals, strong communication skills, and expertise in utilizing metrics and data. The ideal candidate will be able to navigate roadblocks, develop an APAC support roadmap, enable a simple and streamlined user-facing team, and innovate to improve the employee self-service experience. They will also participate in bug triage and prioritization, user-facing outage management, and escalation of issues as appropriate.
