You will play a pivotal role in implementing HR strategy in Japan region and driving initiatives that align with our business objectives. You will lead a team of HR Business Partners and oversee labour relations and factory HR escalations.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies/initiatives that support Japan-specific business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with senior management in Japan to understand local business needs and translate them into tangible HR initiatives.
- Oversee labour relations activities, including relationship building, negotiation with internal and external labour unions and management of collective bargaining agreements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Regional HR team in Japan, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in progressive HR role, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of Japanese labour laws and regulations, with experience managing labour relations and collective bargaining agreements within the semiconductor industry.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement HR best practices in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and a track record of driving business results through effective HR strategies and initiatives within the semiconductor industry.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence as well as ability to be hands on.
