Purpose of the role

This position in our Portfolio Management Unit (PMU) sets strategy for hold to maturity loan portfolios in Global Corporate & Investment Banking for APAC (GCIB APAC). Responsibilities include defining sector/country asset allocations, monitoring profitability, developing KPIs, and reporting recommendations to senior management/committee regularly.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy for hold to maturity loan portfolios.
  • RUN TOOLS to define detailed sector/country allocations in collaboration with CFO team and regional teams.
  • Make recommendations to senior management/committee regularly.
  • Monitor profitability of hold to maturity portfolio and report regularly.
  • Develop KPIs and track country progress against budget.
  • Identify unused capital/resources and recommend reallocation to other business areas.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop portfolio strategy and plans.
  • Lead communication with countries/products to execute portfolio strategy.
  • Supervise direct reports and provide guidance/advice.
  • Manage team resources and enhance processes/tools.
  • Provide opportunities for individual development.
  • Maintain tools/data to calculate capital allocation.
  • Demonstrate leadership and interaction with senior stakeholders.
  • Follow directions and handle additional tasks.

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years' experience in the financial industry.
  • 7 years' experience in financial products and credit portfolio management.
  • 5 years' leadership experience, managing teams and projects.
  • Strong strategic planning, communication/presentation skills.
  • Effective management, coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
