Tokyo Amazon Web Services Japan GK Full time

AWS is seeking a Strategic Business Partnership Leader to develop and accelerate the AWS relationship with Hitachi. This role involves managing relationships with key stakeholders, driving business growth, and collaborating with various AWS teams to deliver aligned value. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in technology-related key account management, partner business management, or sales strategy, with a proven track record of managing senior stakeholders, driving collaborative initiatives, and delivering revenue goals. The role will be based in Tokyo, Japan, and will require frequent travel to meet with partner executives, customers, and internal stakeholders. The salary information will be provided individually prior to the 1st interview.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as single point owner and custodian of the AWS relationship with Hitachi
• Map the partner's organization, own relationships with key senior stakeholders, and understand the business partner's priorities and internal processes
• Run the partnership progress and governance mechanisms, and ensure regular updates, manage escalations, and build leadership alignment amongst both organizations
• Collaborate with various AWS teams to drive business growth and deliver aligned value

About the Team:

At AWS, we collaborate deeply with System Integrators, Distributors, Value Added Resellers, Telcos, and other services providers to provide end-to-end digital and business transformation value to our customers. Many of our strategic partners have holistic businesses including IT and consulting services, software products, re-selling, and other related businesses with IT infrastructure requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in technology-related key account management, partner business management, or sales strategy
• Proven track record of managing senior stakeholders, driving collaborative initiatives, and delivering revenue goals
• Native fluency in verbal and written Japanese and English
• Willingness to travel to meet with partner executives, customers, and internal stakeholders

• Experience of working with large, global organizations
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance
• A keen sense of ownership, drive, and ability to deliver in ambiguity
• Strategic thinking to think strategically about business challenges, and create a compelling value proposition
• Relationship management to build rapport and earn trust with a wide range of internal and external senior stakeholders
• Project management to execute a wide-ranging overall plan through assigned, monitorable tasks, and deliver results
• Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas to cross-functional audiences
