This role is pivotal in establishing a strong project management capability within Astellas HR and driving the implementation of global HR projects that support Corporate Strategy Partnerships (CSP) goals, including Performance Goals and Organizational Health Goals. Strong organizational and leadership skills are required to deliver HR projects on time and within scope.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
1. Project Management: Propose project scope, objectives, and resource plans with clear background and justification; propose project governance & team structures, and facilitate processes to assign members; lay out project timelines, coordinating work streams, and oversee progress to ensure timely delivery; coordinate timing of communication between teams and project governance, providing guidance as necessary to ensure efficient task execution; track and manage project budget and headcount allocation, and provide periodic reports to project governance.
2. Portfolio Management: Manage the HR project portfolio and drive the execution of core projects in partnership with HRLT and other senior HR leaders in Astellas.
3. Organization Development: Contribute to organization development and capability building in HR by providing coaching on project management skills.
This role requires interaction with various stakeholders, including internal stakeholders such as CPO&CECO, HRLT, COS Groups, Transformational Office, Global HR Business Partners, Finance, Procurement, Corporate Strategy, Legal, CIR, and related functions, as well as external stakeholders such as vendors who support PJs, including consulting firms. Occasional international travel may be required, necessitating flexibility and the ability to manage time zones and global working methods.
Qualifications for this role include:
• A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field;
• A minimum three years' experience in global project management, preferably within the HR field;
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification may be advantageous;
• Strong leadership skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact and influence various levels of the organization;
• Familiarity with HR metrics and analytics;
• Good interpersonal skills.
