Morgan Stanley has established a series of real estate investment programs around the world, including the North Haven Real Estate Funds (formerly known as Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds) ,Prime Property Funds, and North Haven Real Estate Japan Strategy Fund ("JSF"). North Haven Real Estate Funds is a series of closed-ended value-add/opportunistic real estate funds launched in 1991. Prime Property Fund Asia is an open-end core real estate fund launched in 2015. JSF is a Japanese Yen-denominated closed-end fund launched in 2025.
Morgan Stanley Capital K.K. (MSC), part of the Firm's investment management platform in Japan, is a non-discretionary investment advisor which provides high level real estate asset management services.
MSC is currently seeking a highly self-motivated junior asset manager to join as a member of the team and to be based in Tokyo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day to day asset management activities for real estate assets acquired on behalf of real estate funds (Asset class includes office, residential, retail, logistics, hotel, and other)
- Creating, monitoring, and modifying Business Plans for investments to achieve optimum results for the fund
- Communication with property managers, leasing agents, brokerage firms on leasing and disposition of assets pursuant to Business Plans
- Valuation / underwriting support including market research
- Execution and closing support (both acquisition and disposition)
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of work experience in the real estate industry. Preferably at real estate developers, leasing or brokerage agent, asset / fund management company, or other financial institutes.
- Solid understanding in real estate products
- Positive attitude, strong motivation and team player personality
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and time effectively
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Native Level Japanese (both speaking and writing)
- Business Level English
