HPM Business Leader - Japan
Job Description
Overview:
A director-level role responsible for managing part of the business and serving as a member of the Japan management team. Develops and executes a go-to-market approach for assigned products, solutions, and services aligned with the Markets' Business and Marketing strategy.
Works with the Business to ensure perfect new product introductions and launches. Supports the Business Marketing & Sales Leader in interactions with the Business, particularly the BMC process.
Supports and coaches Modality Sales and Clinical teams as a one-point contact for the Business. Ensures Marketing strategy and plans are aligned.
Main Responsibilities:
- P&L ownership for the HPM business in Japan.
- Aligns strategic plans with Japan's leaders, ensuring optimal market potential utilization.
- Develops sales growth through direct and indirect sales channels.
- Strengthens market organizations with the Japan Market Leader, facilitating BMC handshakes and integrating BMC plans with Market MT.
- Leads the HPM sales, marketing, and clinical team.
- Ensures local insights and support for strategic marketing planning, NPIs, and launch readiness for products, solutions, and services.
- Drives customer satisfaction by understanding market evolution and providing winning sales propositions based on local needs.
- Maintains Philips's compliance with General Business Principles in the marketplace.
- Demonstrates high-level leadership competencies and behaviors daily.

- You have experience in marketing technology, healthcare, or medtech products or solutions.
- You possess people management experience.
- You possess business-level language skills in English and Japanese.
- Certified LEAN Advanced.
Requirements:
- No fixed term contract.
- Probation period available (typically 6 months from joining date).
- Workplace: Head office (Mabashi Hills).
- Possible relocation to any company location worldwide.
- Working hours: 9:00-17:30, with regular breaks.
- Flexible working hours without core time.
- Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and New Year's break (December 29 - January 4).
- Annual leave: up to 20 days, Care Leave (up to 10 days), Sick Leave (up to 30 days), and more.
- Overtime work is possible.
- Salary: Basic salary ¥1200-1700 million per year, plus an annual bonus of 30%.
- Bonus paid annually in March, subject to company performance, department performance, and individual evaluation.
