Role purpose

Reporting directly to the Head of Regulatory and Compliance in Asia, the Regulatory Analyst will manage compliance with telecoms regulation and act as a point of contact from all queries from telecoms regulatory authorities in the Asia Pacific region (primarily Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore).

Will also conduct country telecom regulatory work, provide mandatory regulatory reports to the telecoms regulatory authorities in Japan and research regulation in Asia Pacific Region.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to telecom authorities and industry bodies across Asia (Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea).

Manage telecom license renewals and ensure timely fee payments.
Maintain and update regulatory calendars for filings, deadlines, and compliance obligations.
Monitor and analyze telecom regulations and market developments in Asia.
Communicate regulatory changes and compliance requirements to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on compliance and regulatory projects.
Provide research, administrative support, and assist with process improvements for the regulatory team.

Role Requirements
Skills and Experience
Fluent in Japanese and English (verbal and written)
5+ years of regulatory and compliance experience
Data analysis experience
Experience using excel
Strong attention-to-detail skill
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory concepts clearly and effectively.
Collaborative and team-oriented
Proactive and positive mindset

Other Preferences
Prior experience in the telecommunications regulatory domain is highly desirable (either in consulting or in-house).
