The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of Rakuten's ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships.
Within TPD, the Cloud Platform Supervisory Department (CPSD) develops and manages Rakuten's state-of-the-art cloud platform, empowering global scalability and accelerating innovation across its diverse business units.

The Infrastructure Services Department (INSD) at Rakuten delivers high-quality data center and network services to all Rakuten Group companies globally. We empower Rakuten's innovation with a stable, high-performing, secure, and cost-competitive infrastructure. By proactively addressing challenges and ensuring Rakuten has the infrastructure services it needs to thrive, we enable global business success.

Rakuten Group continues to expand its businesses, and along with it, our infrastructure platform is also growing rapidly. To maintain stable operations, we are looking for individuals who will take responsibility for the financial aspects of our evolving infrastructure platform and grow with us.
Position Details
Our department is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and management of data center and network products for private clouds.
In this role, you will primarily focus on business planning through budget formulation and KPI design for these products, as well as execution support through P&L and KPI monitoring, and management reporting.
Responsibilities
Based on your experience, you will be assigned the following duties:
- Global budget formulation and budget-vs-actual management, including overseas locations.
- Monitoring of KPIs and P&L indicators, forecasting, identifying issues, and proposing/supporting the implementation of solutions.
- Data preparation and analysis for business strategy formulation concerning new and existing products.
- Proposing and supporting the implementation of initiatives for revenue improvement and cost optimization.
- Appropriate pipeline/business plan/P&L progress management throughout the product lifecycle.
- Setting appropriate service prices based on product characteristics, market prices, and business profitability, as well as managing billing/invoicing cycles.
- Support for creating billing data for internal users.

Mandatory Qualifications
- Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and insight.
- Advanced data aggregation and analysis skills using Excel (including functions, pivot tables, and chart creation).
- Experience in data visualization and dashboard development using BI tools (e.g., Domo).
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate smoothly with relevant departments and drive projects.
- TOEIC score of 800 or higher, or equivalent English proficiency.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in business planning, corporate planning, or equivalent roles within a business company.
- Experience in business strategy formulation for IT-related services.
- Knowledge and experience regarding data center and network products.
- Basic project management skills.
- A proactive attitude and ability to identify and solve problems even in unfamiliar business domains.
