Job Title: HR Coordinator

Location : Yokohama, Japan

We are on the lookout for an experienced, and dynamic HR Coordinator to join our team in the Yokohama, Japan office in a Hybrid model on a permanent level.

In this role, you will work with local operations, providing efficient HR and administration services to stakeholders across our international landscape. You will manage various tasks from processing new starters and coordinating leavers to overseeing internal transfers and supporting our Centers of Excellence worldwide.

Your responsibility will not only involve the day-to-day administration but also drive the enhancement of best practices in policies, procedures, and processes across different cultures and legal frameworks. You will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of HR services, to be consistent across the globe.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow set guidelines to offer high-quality administrative support to the business and HR team, meeting both legal and business standards.
  • Knowledge of the local Japanese employment laws
  • Manage and process payroll process
  • Timely and effective handling of HR queries resolution for Tier 1 work and escalating as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all records for colleagues are properly maintained and comply with GDPR
  • To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in local Japanese HR
  • Experience in handling Japanese payroll invoices
  • Must be fluent in Japanese and be able to write and speak in business English
  • Experience in Workday or an alternative HRIS system
  • Capable working within Microsoft Teams/Suite
  • High standards of accuracy, quality and efficiency, and a strong service ethic.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced commercial environment
