Financial Services Specialist (Banking) Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Financial Services Specialist (Banking) to join our team and drive AWS adoption in the Financial Services industry in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a member of the Financial Services Specialist team in helping to drive AWS marketing, sales, and technical strategies for the financial services industry.
- Participate in business case development, project goal creation and analysis, and in the creation of execution plans for achievement.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and resources.
- Create strategic business development plans for Banking segment in Japan and ensure these plans are in line with the AWS strategic direction.
- Execute tactical business development plans while working closely with internal stakeholders including sales teams, solution architects, market development teams, professional services and support teams, legal and contract teams, and the AWS service teams.
- Identify and manage risks, resolve issues, and escalate where appropriate to drive projects to successful completion.
- Understand the unique technical requirements of Banking customers and work closely with the internal teams to guide the direction of our product offerings for our largest and most complex customers.
- Understand and exploit the use of Salesforce.com and other internal Amazon systems for campaign tracking and pipeline management.
Requirements:
- 5+ years Business Development / Engagement Management consulting experience managing enterprise level IT projects in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of leading independent solutions vendors (ISVs) and system integrators (SIs) in the Financial Services industries, especially those with repeatable solutions or offerings related to the systems used by Banking customers.
- Team player willing to work in an international environment and be part of a global team.
- Proven experience working in a matrix environment, managing multiple stakeholders.
- Works effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking and demonstrate understanding of requirements to execute.
- Ability to make decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan with limited guidance.
- Results-oriented, prioritizes work activities, plans and stays organized in order to meet commitments.
- Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship building skills, across all levels of management.
- Excellent people skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate and achieve results through others who are not direct reports.
