Purpose and Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Deliver high-quality legal services to drive business success, independently and in collaboration with the Legal Head.
Key Responsibilities:
- In partnership with Global Legal and local business functions, support the adidas Japan business.
- Implement proactive and defensive legal services while acting as a business partner role.
- Provide day-to-day legal services to business functions, including consulting, contract review, drafting, negotiation, transaction structuring, risk assessment, and dispute handling.
- Maintain and improve internal policies and rules related to law for more effective processes in adidas Japan.
- Offer legal and operational support to business teams and enhance processes, including contract signing and e-signature procedures.
- Carr conduct timely and relevant training on legal and compliance issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3+ years of experience in a legal role, preferably with experience in retail, wholesale, marketing, e-commerce, supply chain, consumer service, and design.
- Self-motivation and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Maintenance and improvement of knowledge on relevant laws and regulations.
- Logical and strong written and verbal communication skills in Japanese.
- Business English level for reading and writing.
- Open-minded, team-oriented, and proactive attitude.
Requisite Education and Experience/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in law or a relevant subject.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in a business company or law firm.
Key Relationships:
- Business teams (including senior management and members).
- Global adidas group Legal & Compliance team members.
- External parties, including business partners and law firms.
The estimated salary for this position is ¥8,000,000 - ¥12,000,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location.
