Join an award-winning, global airline with a rich history spanning over 78 years. As a Finance Manager, lead a team and support Regional Head of Finance and local business units in Japan. Conduct accounting and finance activities, provide strategic analysis, and support subsidiary companies. Key responsibilities include compliance, control and risk assessment, management and financial reporting, cost control, payroll, business support and process improvement, and people development and performance management.
- Comply with laws and regulations, including accounting records
- Update country management on new local requirements
- Ensure company accounting policies are followed
- Partner with stakeholders for risk management
- Ensure timely and accurate financial recordings
- Compile accounting schedules and bank reconciliations
- Prepare budgets and forecasts
- Ensure cost variance analysis
- Ensure payroll approvals and releases
- Liaise with People Department and country management
- Prepare business cases and ensure corporate governance
- Provide finance support and participate in industrial working groups
- Lead, support, and encourage team to achieve success
- Build a strong and motivated team
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in Finance/Accounting is essential
- Experience in the airline industry is an advantage
- Experience in SAP is an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in leading a high performing team
- Good collaborator with strong interpersonal skills
- Fluency in written and spoken Japanese and English
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Japan
Benefits:
- Base salary: JPY537,450/month (based on experience and skills)
- Title allowance: JPY50,000/month
- Fixed allowance per month: JPY38,000 + 7.4% of the base salary
- Other allowances: company regulations apply, including airline travel discounts
- Social insurance: unemployment insurance, worker's compensation insurance, health insurance, welfare pension insurance
- Commuting expense allowance: up to JPY50,000/month
- Working hours per day: 7.5 hours with some remote working days
- Break time: one hour
- Off day: Two days off every week
- Probation period: 3 months
- Annual leave: 16 days in the first year after completing 6-month service
- Potential for additional discretional bonus (depending on the Company's performance and financial status)
