Department Overview
B2B Business Supervisory Department works across business units and subsidiaries to formulate growth strategies and plan and promote sales promotion measures for Rakuten's more than 70 corporate services.

Based on company-wide strategies, the department plans and executes measures involving management, measures effectiveness, and formulates improvement measures.

This position is highly recommended for individuals who want to leverage their experience to engage in operations from the upper levels of management strategy to execution.

Position Details
You will be responsible for the strategic planning and promotion of both "offensive" and "defensive" initiatives related to the utilization of corporate transaction data across the entire company.

You will create business impact through data utilization while negotiating and coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Formulating and executing data utilization strategies
  • Developing and planning the operation of data governance rules
  • Negotiating and coordinating with stakeholders

Work Environment
Our department is a small elite unit led by an executive who has held senior management positions at global major IT. Members' backgrounds are diverse, including subsidiary directors, public infrastructure, major IT, major manufacturers, trading companies, and startups.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Experience in company-wide coordination projects, including those involving executive leadership.
  • Project Management (PM) experience in cross-functional data utilization projects.
  • Experience in creating rules and processes that connect the entire business or different business units.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in strategic planning, such as in a corporate planning role.
  • Knowledge of privacy-related laws and regulations (e.g., Personal Information Protection Act, GDPR).
  • Knowledge and experience in data management.
  • Practical experience using tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge and experience in project management.
  • Strong communication skills (including articulation and English proficiency)
