HEAD OF FINANCE - JAPAN


About the Position:
The Head of Finance Japan will collaborate with the VP Sales Asia & Japan and the local management teams to ensure the growth goals of the Business areas are met. Additionally, this role will contribute to driving strategic initiatives, handling sales and cost synergies related to the recent acquisition of TOSEI. Compliance with local regulations, Group Policies, and Finance Processes is a key responsibility. The individual will focus on enhancing Group Reporting for the TOSEI organization, requiring strong change management and financial analysis skills. This position will closely work with Business Control units and group functions, overseeing Accounting, Sales Controlling, and Factory Controlling for the Japanese entities.



About Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial reporting for Japanese entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, Group Policies, and local regulations, including timely reporting
  • Provide high-quality financial information to Business Areas
  • Play a crucial role in implementing local strategic initiatives and monitoring projects financially
  • Analyze data to offer profitability improvement recommendations
  • Ensure business processes comply with internal controls
  • Interact with external auditors for financial reviews
  • Coordinate financial processes, including budget/forecast preparation
  • Lead Sales Controlling and Factory Controlling activities
  • Supervise all finance functions and investment processes
  • Develop a high-performing Finance team
  • Enhance financial processes, systems, and controls continuously
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders


About You:
  • University Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 10 years of finance experience at a managerial level
  • Experience in an international organization
  • Ability to work in a cross-matrix organization
  • Experience in system implementations
  • Knowledge of both industrial and commercial operations
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in consumer durable goods industry is a plus
  • Fluency in English and Japanese
