This role is responsible for leading operations in the Japan market, developing and executing overall business strategies and organizational management to drive the achievement of new drug sales targets.
As a key leader of the Japan branch, the VP must demonstrate cross-functional leadership, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and internal resource management to ensure operational performance aligns with corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Full operational oversight of the Japan branch, including departments such as Finance, HR, IT, and Business Operations.
Develop and implement Business Operation and supporting functions strengthen brand positioning.
Lead and motivate teams to meet business goals and financial KPIs.
Establish and manage annual budgets, optimizing resource allocation and operational efficiency.
Act as the primary liaison between the Japan office and global headquarters to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution.
Oversee external partnerships, licensing deals, and compliance-related risk management.
Qualifications
Proven experience as Vice President or higher in an international pharmaceutical company.
Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including a successful track record of leading sales teams and developing new markets.
In-depth knowledge of Japan's pharmaceutical operations, regulations, and distribution channels.Strong leadership skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
Excellent financial planning and budget management capabilities.
Strategic thinker with strong execution ability; able to navigate and drive growth in a dynamic environment.
Fluency in Japanese, English, and Chinese, with demonstrated ability to lead in a multilingual, multicultural environment.
