Overview:
As Field Service Engineer, you will be executing all service activities on the installed technical equipment (related to clinical diagnostic business segment) across customers, including but not exclusive to installation, maintenance, diagnosis, emergency repairs as planned by the local operation. Your role is essential in ensuring our customers receive the best service and support, as well as product training & escalation of more complex issues. This will be a field-based role requiring extensive travel for the customers around assigned area (Tokyo metropolitan area and Kanto-Koshinetsu area) and might include 24X7 on some occasions.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and emergency repairs of Bio-Rad equipment at customer sites
- Maximizing equipment performance and customer satisfaction in accordance with Bio-Rad guidelines
- Working with the sales and wider customer support team to keep up to date with workloads & business requirements
- Provide training to customers and stay up to date on our product offerings
What You Bring:
- At least 3 years' experience in an on-site Field Service Engineering role or equivalent (Preferable: Medical device experience)
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering (equivalent to technical high school level).
- Fundamental technical understanding for mechanical operating principles
- Customer facing experience
- Language: English Basic level & Japanese native level
- Strong IT & networking knowledge
- Up to date computer knowledge including MS office
- Japanese Driver License
- Education: Technical High School, Institute of Technology College, Junior College, University Degree or equivalent
