Lead the development of new Silicon Carbide and Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor products from concept to production, ensuring timely release and meeting technical specifications.
- Supervise the implementation of product development plans, monitoring project progress, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Collaborate closely with Technology Marketing & Applications teams to prioritize product development and ensure key customer milestones are met.
- Also head a sustaining Product Engineering team responsible for enhancing production yield and quality, as well as managing product life cycle through the PCN process.
- Lead a team of seasoned product engineers, offering technical guidance, implementing best practices, and fostering continuous improvement in all areas of product development.
- Control product budgets and ensure projects are completed within cost and schedule constraints.
- Advocate for the product line requirements in cross-functional meetings and establish effective collaboration with different departments, including technology development, manufacturing, testing, quality, and reliability.
Qualifications
【 Must 】
・Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field.
・Minimum 10 years of experience in developing power semiconductor products.
・Proficiency in both Japanese and English is a must for this position.
・Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
・Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic thinking approach to technical decisions.
・Capability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
・Excellent project management expertise, utilizing project planning tools and methodologies.
・Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality control protocols.
