As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be responsible for driving top-of-funnel activity, creating qualified sales opportunities for the Account Executive team. You will serve as the first point of contact between potential customers and Thales + Imperva — representing the brand, identifying potential clients, and understanding their business and security needs.
Key figures:
- Conduct high-quality outbound prospecting via phone, email, 6Sense, Zoominfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to generate qualified leads.
- Follow up on marketing-generated leads and run discovery calls to identify fit and interest.
- Understand and articulate Thales + Imperva's value proposition for Data Security and Application Security
- Schedule and qualify meetings for Account Executives in territory.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in CRM (Salesforce).
- Collaborate with marketing to support demand generation campaigns and events.
- Track engagement metrics and continuously optimize messaging and cadence strategy.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in a sales, business development, or SDR/BDR role — preferably in cybersecurity, SaaS, or B2B tech.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Motivated self-starter with a proactive attitude and a team-first mindset.
- Experience working with Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft (Drift Chat), 6Sense and other prospecting tools.
- Due to the nature of the work, fluency in Japanese and strong English language skills are essential.
