QA manager

■ Your Role and Responsibilities 

Manage the QA team and oversee member development/training

Develop and implement medium- to long-term test strategies (unit, integration, system, functional/non-functional tests, with automation)

Gather, analyze, and act on defect data to continuously improve quality

Standardize and enhance development/testing workflows

Review team deliverables (e.g., test plans, test designs, test summaries, defect reports)

Manage external vendors

■ Experience and Qualifications

In-depth domain knowledge and hands-on experience in Back Office or HR-related systems

Proven experience managing teams of 5+ members

Background in cross-departmental testing process improvement or standardization

Experience formulating and executing test strategies aligned with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD), including automated testing (test pyramid)

Strong negotiation and coordination skills with PMs and engineering leaders

Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills in uncertain situations

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical knowledge (e.g., Basic Information Technology Engineer certification)

Minimum 3 years of experience in software development or equivalent technical role

ISTQB or JSTQB certification (Advanced Level preferred or equivalent experience)

Japanese: N3 or higher (must be able to read Japanese documents)

English: Basic business-level English (TOEIC 700 or above)

■ Additional Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with agile development practices (e.g., Scrum, DevOps)

Strong ownership and dedication to product quality

Proactive communicator across cross-functional teams

Experience with AI development and/or using AI tools to streamline development workflows

Interest in our AI roadmap focused on AI-enhanced productivity and value-driven features
