Responsibilities
1.
Draft, review and negotiate agreements related to:
● Membership Agreements with customers
● Agreement with suppliers
● Constructions of office building interior
● Other commercial transaction
2. Manage legal operations
3. Provide legal advice to business teams
4. Develop measures to prevent legal/governance issues or to improve quality of legal service
Qualification
1. Required Qualification
● A minimum of three year contract practice in a company
● Deep understanding and keen interest in WeWork's business
● Independent while team player
● Detail oriented while organized
● Proactive
Ability:
● To identify facts and data relevant to particular contract or legal project
● To research relevant statutes and case laws
● To analyze (a) from viewpoints of (b) without bias and objectively
● To provide not only legal ramification ("Yes" or "No) but also business alternatives
● Ability to negotiate with third parties to find Win-Win option while protect WeWork's
essential interest
● Ability to multi-tasks while prioritize
● Must enjoy working in a multi-culture, dynamic and fast changing environment
2. Preferred Qualification
- Membership of a bar in Japan or the US is not required but plus.
● Contract draft, review and negotiation experience in a multinational company, a venture
company or an international law firm is plus. Contract draft, review and negotiation
experience in a multinational enterprise, a unicorn company or a major international law
firm is strong plus
● Experience in agreements relevant to construction, finance or real estate lease is plus
