Summary: Draft and review contracts, provide legal advice, manage corporate matters, and handle inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and execute contracts in Japanese and English.
- Prepare contract templates.
- Conduct contract approval processes.
- Provide legal advice and support business-side projects based on Japanese laws.
- Perform legal checks and risk assessments on projects and business models.
- Coordinate with external law firms.
- Plan and perform internal training on Japanese laws and Mercedes-Benz Group rules.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Convene and manage board meetings and shareholders' meetings.
- Prepare minutes and registration documents for the legal bureau.
- Support company seal affixing work.
- Handle internal audit.
Handling Inquiries and Litigations:
- Handle inquiries from police, courts, bar association, and customs.
- Handle litigations, including product-liability lawsuits.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a bachelor's or master's program in law.
- Japanese: Native level (verbal communication and writing).
- English: Business level (TOEIC or above).
- Microsoft Office skills, including document creation and budget management.
- Strong communication skills, sense of responsibility, and cooperativeness.
- More than 3 years' experience in a company's legal department or a law firm.
