We would like to improve our service capability in terms of analysis, so we opened this position, Data Analyst.
Position Details
This position involves leveraging various service data within Rakuten to develop data marts and BI reports. You will work closely with the BI development team to understand the business and performance requirements of business users, design and develop BI reports that meet these requirements, and deliver them to the business users. The company has numerous business units, and the ability to understand the structure and requirements of each business is essential.
Responsibilities
- Business requirements
Gather requirements from various business units, propose implementation architecture, BI dashboard design policies, and implementation options.
- Design and develop BI reports
Design and develop BI reports according to business and performance requirements. When necessary, design and develop data marts and data processes.
- Operation and Maintenance
Handle troubleshooting and improvements for BI reports, ensuring their ongoing maintenance.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Knowledge and 5+ years development experience about BI tools like Tableau, MicroStrategy and DOMO.
- Knowledge and experience to use RDB and SQL.
- Basic business knowledge to understand requirements (accounting, marketing, etc.).
Desired Qualifications
- Data mart design and development experience.
- Knowledge of statistics, experience of developing mathematical modeling, experience of data analysis.
- Experience working with global teams.
- Business communication skill in Japanese.
