The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join as a co-founding leader with significant upside in a company that already generates revenue and is entering its next phase of growth.
You'll own the business and regulatory roadmap for Japan — leading market expansion, partnerships, and compliance as we scale across industries and geographies.
Own and grow the Japan business — revenue, partner relationships, and operational execution across hospitality, ticketing, and e-commerce.
Lead local go-to-market — from B2B sales and platform integrations to strategic partnerships with hotels, resorts, event organizers, and online merchants.
Oversee regulatory initiatives — drive risk-compliant operations and work with advisors to prepare for future licensing needs.
Build and lead the local team — recruit, coach, and scale a high-performing group across operations, partnerships, and finance.
Represent the company in Japan — serve as the local face of the business to partners, regulators, and ecosystem leaders.
8 + years in business development, partnerships, or general management, ideally within fintech, travel, or insurtech-adjacent industries.
Deep understanding of Japanese market dynamics and business culture.
Proven record of launching or scaling B2B or platform businesses in Japan.
Experience navigating regulated environments or compliance frameworks.
Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English (written & verbal).
Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
Strong communicator with cross-cultural collaboration skills.
