The company has previously delivered new experiential value to its customers through its home appliance management application.
As it launches a new product development project, it is now seeking an Application Development Engineer to serve as the core member of this initiative.
Responsibilities
The role involves taking charge of all aspects of smartphone application development (iOS/Android) that link with the home appliances the company offers.
The selected candidate will participate from the project's planning stage, deeply understand the product concept, and then define the application specifications necessary to achieve "the best user experience."
During the development phase, they will coordinate communication specifications with embedded engineers for hardware integration, and use their technical skills to bring to life the designs created by the UI/UX designers.
Specifically:
・Project management for smartphone application development.
・Requirements definition and specification review for new applications.
・Collaboration and coordination with internal stakeholders and external partners.
You will be involved in improving and expanding the functionality of the existing application (BALMUDA Connect) while also engaging in the development of new applications for new products.
They will be required to act as a "hands-on" Project Manager who goes beyond simple progress tracking. This includes judging the optimal approach from a technical perspective and, when challenges arise, proactively taking action to lead the solution.
Development Structure
Currently, the company does not have engineers specializing in in-house application development. Therefore, the selected candidate will be the key expert (or "first person") in this domain.
They are expected to proactively lead the development while working in close coordination with designers and hardware engineers.
Position Highlights
・Since this is a brand new project just launching, there is no established method. Your own ideas and technology choices will directly impact the experiential value of the product. This position offers the dynamism of a 0-to-1 phase, where you can use your skills to create "an experience unique to the company," merging hardware and software.
・Furthermore, there is the excitement of creating the development "mechanism" itself. Precisely because there are no set procedures, the role offers significant autonomy to lead development in establishing future development standards and processes—such as how to ensure quality and how to make the design efficient.
・The company views the application not merely as an operating tool, but as an integral part of the experiential value. Through the application as a gateway, you can seamlessly connect and operate the product and the smartphone, delivering an excellent experience to the user.
・You will also gain a broader perspective that goes beyond software development by teaming up with members from diverse areas of expertise, including engineers, UI/UX designers, and marketing.
【 Requirements】
Required
Development experience with either Android or iOS apps
Project management experience with either apps or cloud services
※ Experience in requirements definition and specification review phases is highly valued.
Preferred
Practical experience with Flutter
Knowledge of backend development utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
