Position Overview

ISI Japanese Language School is seeking an SNS Content Editor to support the production of official social media content for Instagram and TikTok.

This role focuses primarily on editing short-form video content published on ISI's official accounts, working with provided footage, captions, and guidelines.

The Content Editor collaborates closely with the internal marketing team to ensure each video is clear, visually engaging, and consistent with ISI's brand standards.

As an educational institution, ISI places a strong emphasis on trust, accuracy, and credibility.

This position plays an important role in delivering information that is approachable, easy to understand, and suitable for audiences both in Japan and internationally.

Skills & Responsibilities
Edit video content for ISI Japanese Language School's official social media channels (Instagram, TikTok)
Produce short-form vertical videos (Reels and other short-form formats) using provided footage
Add and adjust on-screen text, English subtitles, background music, and simple motion or visual elements
Create simple graphic assets and thumbnails in line with brand guidelines
Ensure all video outputs meet platform specifications and ISI brand standards
Incorporate feedback and handle minor revisions
Assist with simple content capture or filming when needed

Qualifications
Required
Practical experience editing videos for Instagram or TikTok (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in video editing using CapCut
Ability to create thumbnails using Canva
English proficiency sufficient for writing captions and subtitles
Ability to follow instructions accurately and deliver consistent-quality work
Preferred
Understanding of structure, pacing, and readability in short-form video content
Proficiency in languages other than Japanese and English
