Position Overview

ISI Japanese Language School is seeking an
SNS Content Editor
to support and strengthen our official social media content production for
Instagram and TikTok
.

This position focuses primarily on
editing video content
published on the school's official accounts.

Marketing strategy and account management are handled by our internal team, while the Content Editor is responsible for editing based on
provided materials and clear instructions
, with an emphasis on
clarity, visibility, and consistency
.

As an educational institution, ISI values trust and credibility. This role supports the delivery of
accurate, approachable, and easy-to-understand information
to audiences both in Japan and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Edit video content for ISI Japanese Language School's official social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok)
  • Produce short-form vertical videos (Reels / short-form content) using provided footage
  • Add and adjust on-screen text, subtitles (primarily in English), and background music
  • Ensure video output aligns with posting formats and brand guidelines
  • Handle basic review feedback and minor revisions
  • Assist with simple content capture when necessary

Qualifications
Required

  • Practical experience editing videos for Instagram or TikTok, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in video editing using
    CapCut
  • English proficiency sufficient for creating captions and subtitles
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions and deliver consistent-quality work

Preferred

  • Understanding of structure, pacing, and readability in short-form video content
  • Proficiency in languages other than Japanese and English

Employment Type & Location

  • Employment type:
    Independent contractor / freelance (negotiable)
  • Location: Shinjuku, Tokyo (Head Office)
  • Remote work may be available depending on the scope of work
  • Working hours: To be discussed based on workload and contract terms
