Freelance Tour Host – Tokyo | Guydeez
About the Role
Do you love Tokyo and enjoy sharing its stories with travelers from around the world? Guydeez is looking for enthusiastic locals to lead private, personalized walking tours through Tokyo's vibrant neighborhoods and cultural landmarks. No professional guide license is required — just passion, local knowledge, and a friendly, engaging personality.
Languages Required
Fluent in at least one of: Spanish, English, French, German, Chinese, Italian, or Portuguese
What You'll Do
- Lead private walking tours (3–8 hours) for small groups
- Personalize tours based on guests' interests
- Share authentic insights into Tokyo's history, culture, and lifestyle
- (Optional) Host food-focused or themed tours

- Contract Type: Freelance — no fixed term or retirement age
- Typical Hours: 3–8 hours per tour; fully flexible
- Work Mode: In-person walking tours; admin tasks (scheduling, communication, training) may be handled remotely
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Tokyo's culture, history, and landmarks
- Friendly, engaging, and professional personality
- Previous guiding or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
- Interest in food or cultural experiences is an advantage
