Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Japan Country Manager and the rest of the leadership team in setting and achieving the company's financial and operating plans and targets.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting and review process.
  • Manage the financials and balance tradeoffs to achieve financial goals for the country
  • Ensure monthly/quarterly/annual financial data provided to Corporate is accurate and meet the reporting deadlines.
  • Manage the key components of working capital, including accounts receivable, inventory and accounts payable.
  • Drive a culture of integrity and compliance by ensuring financial information are prepared in accordance with US GAAP/JGAAP/company accounting policy and local statutory/tax/legal requirements. Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure support is provided to complete audit work and address findings timely.
  • Develop and lead the Japan finance team in providing excellent and efficient services by keeping team members engaged and providing necessary guidance and training opportunities.
  • Closely collaborate with the regional and global finance teams
Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, including 7+ years in a managerial function, and 5+ years overseeing the entire Finance function in a company.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP/JGAAP.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Desirable experience in ERPs like Oracle and HFM, as well as Power BI.
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently as a selfstarter and a high degree of ability to define priorities.
  • Proactive and with a high sense of teamwork and strong stakeholder management skills / influencing skills.
  • Focused on process improvement and change management, challenging views and opinions in a positive and constructive way.
Salary

Company will consider candidates up to 22M JPY for annual salary (client may consider higher salary based on candidate skills and experience).
