Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience in sales, marketing, or category management, specialized in driving growth in Gaming, consumer products, technology, entertainment, retail, or services.
  • Product management experience preferred in consumer electronics, gaming, telco, retail, or technology sectors.
  • Strong financial expertise with the ability to establish, monitor, and achieve annual revenue goals.
  • Skilled in crafting & executing engaging Storytelling in collaboration with Marketing teams.
  • Portfolio oversight of product categories; proven track record in consumer channels.
  • Partner engagement with a history of driving growth and performance metrics.
  • Excellence in execution through project management, budgeting, and data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Global business management experience and cross-cultural collaboration skills are advantageous.
  • Change management skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Leadership in innovation to pioneer new business models.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese languages, verbal and written.
  • Possess a passion for playing video games, any genre.
  • Tertiary education is preferred.

Responsibilities

As Xbox Category Manager - Accessories in the Japan Xbox Category team, you will strategize and execute category marketing and sales plans for Xbox Accessories in the Japanese market. The objective is to expand reach and engagement across devices, attracting Xbox fans by integrating customers, software, hardware partners, channel partners, and creators. The Accessories portfolio includes Xbox Wireless Controllers, Charging, Headsets & more. Utilizing consumer insights and sales analysis, you will create seasonal plans to drive device, player & revenue growth, alongside Partner engagement to boost awareness, consideration, purchase intent, conversion & post-purchase advocacy.
