A leading financial services group is recruiting for a key role in its IT Strategy Department. This position sits within the Digital Planning & Promotion Division, driving enterprise-wide digital transformation and AI governance initiatives. You will work closely with senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions across Japan and global operations.
Position Overview
This role will promote internal DX and AI utilization, plan new operation models that integrate people + AI, and help build IT governance frameworks to support safe and scalable AI adoption across the organization.
You will collaborate with business divisions and technology groups to plan, evaluate, and implement AI-based solutions and support enterprise-level transformation projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesPromote generative AI utilization, including planning new internal AI applications, services, and training
Establish and operate AI governance frameworks (security, compliance, risk, approval processes)
Manage AI/DX-related projects and drive cross-departmental collaboration
Research advanced technologies and explore partnerships with large tech vendors and startups
Partner with senior executives and lead key committees and governance meetings
Mandatory Requirements
Experience as a Project Manager or Business Analyst
Basic knowledge/experience in IT development & operations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirement-definition skills
Communication and leadership abilities for stakeholder management
Business-level Japanese
Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
Preferred Experience
IT project management / PMO
Financial industry project experience (including vendor-side involvement)
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
AI / Machine Learning project experience (any phase)
IT security / ITIL experience
Cloud service implementation (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS)
IT governance or audit frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.)
Certifications (IPA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC etc.)
Business-level English
Japanese:
native or N1 level with fluency read and write and speaking
