We are presently sourcing for a Senior Manager- Japanese Public Projects (Remote, Japan). This position will be a partnership/full time role and you will be reporting directly to the director.

At Global Angle, we are looking for a Senior Manager – Japanese Public Sector Projects (Remote, Japan) to lead and support our public sector engagements in Japan.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing ongoing government-related projects, identifying and pursuing new tender opportunities, and overseeing the full bidding process from strategy to submission.
You will serve as the primary liaison between Global Angle and Japanese government agencies, building strong relations with officials, directors, and other key stakeholders. This position requires a solid understanding of Japan's public sector operations, policy trends, and procurement processes.
You will also collaborate with our diverse and talented teams in Japan and Singapore to develop tailored proposals and strategic solutions that help government clients optimize capital, generate new insight, and make informed decision based on research and consulting outcomes.
This is a remote role based in Japan, with preference for candidates residing in or near Tokyo due to occasional in-person meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ongoing projects in collaboration with Japanese public sector entities, serving as the primary liaison with government agencies and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse public sector tender opportunities on a daily basis; assess relevance and strategically select projects for bidding in alignment with the company's goal.
- Oversee the end-to-end budding process, including proposal development, stakeholder coordination, document preparation, and timely submission of tender materials.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to design competitive compliant proposals tailored to the requirements of each tender.
- Represent the organization in tender briefings, clarification meetings, and negotiations with public sector counterparts.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements throughout the bidding and project execution phases.
- Provide strategic insight and updates to senior leadership on public sector trends, policy changes, and opportunities for engagement or expansion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree of any specialisation
- Strong in communication, client management and presentation skills
- Analytical, self-driven and enthusiastic to work in a growing business setting
- Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
- Minimum 5 year of experience working in the public sector or collaborating with public sector organizations.
- Strong proficiency in Japanese (Verbal, written, and reading) with business-level English skills (reading and writing)
- Prior experience with public sector rendering processes is highly preferred.
- Residency in Tokyo or surrounding areas is preferred for ease of attending in-person meetings when necessary
