About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Automotive ECU Platform Development Engineer to join a global engineering and technology solutions organization in Japan.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to next-generation vehicle technologies that are transforming the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement automotive ECU platforms and FOTA systems, covering the entire software development life cycle from requirement analysis to design, implementation, and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design, functionality, and integration compliance.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize embedded software for in-vehicle applications.
Support validation, verification, and performance testing activities.
Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement in development methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience in embedded software development using C or C++.
Hands-on experience with automotive ECU development.
In-depth understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and module interactions.
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, FlexRay, and LIN (Ethernet is an added advantage).
Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
Japanese language proficiency at Native or JLPT N1 level (mandatory).
Candidates should have less than 35 years of total experience.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of model-based development and automotive software testing.
Experience in embedded control systems or communication software.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary system (paid monthly – 1/12).
Annual salary review.
Commuting allowance (up to 20,000 yen per month).
Overtime allowance.

Retirement age of 65 years with potential continuation as a consultant.
Trial period: 3 months (no change in compensation).

More than 120 days off per year.
Two days off per week (Saturday and Sunday).
