In March 2025 Japan Experience also acquired FTC, a DMC specialized in large group tours in Japan, and in 2022 opened Irasshai, a 800 m2 Japanese concept food store in the center of Paris ).
Your role as Booking Agent
As part of our growth strategy to become a leading inbound travel company for the western markets, we are seeking a dedicated individual to support Japan Experience in Japan as Booking agent.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing reservations and coordinating the booking of tour guides for guided activities across Japan, including handling booking-related inquiries, confirmations, and follow-ups with sales agents and guides
- Assigning guides based on availability, language skills, experience, and specific tour requirements
- Creating, updating, and adjusting schedules to accommodate last-minute changes, special requests, or operational needs
- Ensuring all guides receive accurate and complete information, including meeting points, schedules, customer details, expectations, and special requests
- Handling guides' invoices and assisting with general administrative and coordination tasks
Who are you?
Your Profile
- Eligible to work in Japan, working holiday visa candidates are welcome
- Currently living in Tokyo
- Proficient in using computers and standard office tools (email, scheduling systems, spreadsheets)
- Experience in the tourism industry in Japan is a plus
Minimum Language Requirements
- English: Business level
- Japanese: Conversational level

- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple bookings and deadlines efficiently
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate clearly with guides, travelers, and suppliers
- Calm and solution-oriented when handling last-minute changes or unexpected situations
