Description Summary
This position involves supporting Travel & Lifestyle consultants in delivering exceptional service to our premium customers by liaising with vendors both domestically and internationally.
This role requires communication with overseas vendors such as restaurants/hotels, handling emails to international colleagues, and negotiating effectively.
*This is a contractor position.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting Travel & Lifestyle consultants in Japan/other markets by contacting vendors internationally
- Handles negotiation with overseas business partners on travel/lifestyle inquiries for premium customers
- Liaises with domestic business partners on overseas customer inquiries and communicates with international Amex colleagues
- Proactively gathers and shares travel/lifestyle information with operation consultants
- Responsible for flexible confirmation and negotiation with partners to resolve customer issues promptly
- Maintains strong relationships within the team and leadership
- Identifies operational issues, escalating them for improved efficiency and quality
- Understands TLS goals from a shareholder, customer, and colleague perspective
Qualifications
- Proficiency in native Japanese and business-level English. (Knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Adaptable working style with a focus on business needs
- Prior experience or knowledge in Travel or Lifestyle is advantageous
- Highly motivated, self-starting individual with a strong sense of responsibility for managing priorities effectively
- Promotes positive communication and collaboration among team members, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Able to build and maintain relationships across diverse audiences
- Self-critiquing with a growth mindset, eager to take on challenges and foster personal development
- Curious and forward-thinking, actively seeking innovative ways to add value to the business
