Role Purpose:
The Portfolio Management Unit (PMU) position focuses on setting loan portfolio distribution strategy for Global Corporate & Investment Banking for APAC at MUFG. The role involves defining an end-to-end Originate to Distribute strategy aligned with objectives and risk appetite, overseeing the distribution book, building monitoring processes, and supervising staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop loan portfolio distribution strategy in collaboration with DCM to meet financial targets and investor appetite.
- Manage primary and secondary distribution book warehouses and related decision-making processes.
- Recommend enhancements to profitability and increase distribution velocity.
- Monitor and report progress against targets regularly to senior management.
- Enhance discipline and promote distribution effectively.
- Build transparent MIS tool for analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and develop strategies.
- Lead communication across different areas to execute portfolio strategies.
- Supervise staff and enhance team processes continuously.
- Provide coaching, career development, and training opportunities.
- Maintain and update distribution strategy appropriately.
- Show leadership with a high level of interaction with stakeholders.
- Follow manager's directions and handle additional tasks.
Job Requirements:
- 10 years in the financial industry.
- 7 years experience in financial products and distribution process.
- 5 years in leadership and project management.
- Excellent strategic planning and communication skills.
- Strong management, coaching, and leadership abilities.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
