Tokyo Agoda

Description: As an Associate Director/Director, you will focus on providing strategic direction and high-level support to the management team while managing a team of Senior Supply Individuals. You'll closely collaborate with senior executives across functions such as product, supply, marketing, and finance to set our strategy and drive key business initiatives. Your role involves developing exceptional insights into our markets, competitors, and business trends, disseminating this knowledge across Agoda to inform key decisions, and helping our leaders skillfully run Agoda by clarifying accountability and identifying and monitoring critical success metrics.

In this Role, you will get to:

  • Cement relationships with select senior stakeholders across the organization.
  • Build relationships with Country and Regional Directors, developing an in-depth knowledge of the market context in which they operate and their strategy, being seen as a go-to thought partner.
  • Shape the development of a coherent strategy based on the competitive environment and performance.
  • Lead a group of senior managers, guiding their analysis to maximize the impact of projects conducted.
  • Evaluate, structure, and negotiate growth opportunities (e.g., M&A).
  • Proactively develop and present opportunities for the company, identifying the relevant stakeholders to engage in the pursuit of the opportunity.
  • What you will Need to Succeed:

  • Experience working in a similar role, ideally in a technology or travel-focused company.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-8 years of consulting experience is a strong plus.
  • High-performing individual with strong financial knowledge, potential to execute business processes, and ability to evaluate growth opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the industry in the country/region.
  • Ability to think strategically for the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and very senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SQL/Tableau or willingness to invest time to learn.

  • What you'll Need to Succeed:

  • More than 12 years of professional experience.
  • Past success in leading, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Relevant account management, business development, or general management experience.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully communicate proposals to potential partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker, management consulting experience highly valued.
  • Experience in online/e-commerce business preferred.
  • MBA from a well-known institution preferred.
