Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic

Product Management:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and capture customer feedback to formulate a robust product strategy and roadmap.
  • Analyze market and competitor data to position products effectively, ensuring differentiation and appeal.
  • Craft compelling go-to-market strategies to drive product adoption and market penetration.
  • Analyze market data to fine-tune sales strategies and set clear product objectives.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to sunset including building business strategies, performance objectives and outcome-based roadmaps. Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to launch and iterative improvement.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of products, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage end-to-end product performance, including financial, risk, operations, and business performance for all products in the portfolio.
  • Set and articulate a clear product vision, roadmap and objectives and effectively cascade these through the organization and aligned with expected ROI
  • Develop product strategy documents outlining business cases, technical requirements, revenue projections, and expected ROI.
  • Identify new opportunities to influence the firm's business and technology roadmap.
  • Utilizes industry trends and emerging technologies, while understanding the business strategy to drive product delivery and adoption.
  • Manages the overall development, deployment, health, resilience, stability and operations for products including compliance with audit and risk/hygiene standards.
  • Drive vendors for products and solutions based on in-depth knowledge and understanding of the product landscape and industry.
  • Establish and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with stakeholder needs. Ability to think ahead and plan resources and tasks, to clearly align business requirements to backlog.
  • Ensure product scalability, resilience, and security throughout the development process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product offerings with business objectives and emerging needs.
  • Translate product strategies into actionable requirements for the engineering teams.
  • Champion the integration of the latest industry trends, including VDI, Desktop Brokering, Remote access, Application Packing and Delivery, Operating systems packaging, endpoint security and automation, Messaging and Collaboration platforms like M365, MS Teams, Active Directory, mobile solutions and Video Collaboration, etc into viable integrated product solutions.
  • Guide PtX processes within the product division, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Lead cyclical budgeting and planning sessions, forecasting multi-year plans for network and security solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry innovations and regulatory changes, anticipating challenges and identifying opportunities for product enhancement.
  • Proactively identify and assess new technologies and methodologies to enhance infrastructure and product orchestration.
  • Propose cloud-based solutions and other transformative strategies to meet evolving enterprise needs.
  • Drive technical strategy and influence business leaders CxOs on improving business outcomes using technical solutions.
  • Deployment:

  • Guarantee that the end user solutions are constructed in alignment with the organization's standards and baselines.
  • Advocate for automation, enhancing efficiency in end-to-end provisioning and deployment processes. Manages and measures to manage effectively.
  • Engage with external vendors and contractors, specializing in end user products and services, to assess options and curate optimal solutions.
  • Forge strong partnerships with the engineering, production, operations, and risk departments, ensuring coordinated product development, QA, and release. Strategically allocate resources to bolster organizational success.
  • Operational Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and analyze network performance metrics, delivering comprehensive reports on system load, usage, and responsiveness. Looks for effective solutions to enhance monitoring for end user issues to be able to address issues proactively and preemptively before users face an issue.
  • Strategize and execute integrated solutions to ensure peak performance and reliability.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge in problem analysis to preemptively address issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Proactively identify and rectify network control gaps or defects, providing in-depth Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and action plans to mitigate recurring challenges.
  • Investigate, assimilate and draw on detailed problem solving across products in Infrastructure to identify unpredictable situations or complex problems.
  • Deliver expert diagnostic analyses on the network system, pinpointing potential faulty devices, and addressing module issues and overall network disruptions. Ensure meticulous documentation of all actions undertaken for transparency and future reference.
  • Champion the integration of software solutions, advocating for DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to enhance operational processes and outcomes.
  • Financial

  • Maintain a holistic perspective on product-related costs, spanning from planning and engineering to operations, personnel, and risk management.
  • Analyze competitor offerings, identifying opportunities to distinguish our products by optimizing the price point to align precisely with specific business requirements.
  • Exhibit proven experience in overseeing multi-million-dollar network projects, ensuring effective product deployment within the organization.
  • Craft compelling product positioning narratives and messages that set our offerings apart in key market segments.
  • Champion operational improvement initiatives and drive Operational Excellence programs to refine processes, products, or services, aiming for optimized resource utilization and significant cost savings.
  • Predict and plan for financial, material, and human resources, aligning them with set objectives.
  • Advocate for resource optimization, removing redundancies, and meticulously analyzing to cut unnecessary buffer periods, all in a bid to trim implementation costs. Prioritize organizational cost savings at every step.
  • Leverage regional and global synergies to minimize the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for C&C products.
  • Ensure meticulous resource optimization to eradicate redundancies. Analyze and curtail any unnecessary buffer times to ensure cost-effective project implementation.

  • Ensure departmental projects are delivered within scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Assess branch requests for infrastructure assistance and allocate appropriate resources for support.
  • Support the creation and updating of policies, ensuring alignment with all pertinent regulations.

  • Requirements:

  • Min 20 years of experience in a senior technical position responsible for managing regional IT infrastructure environments with project management experience.
  • Experience in Operating System Packing, Desktop Virtualization, Active Directory, Messaging platforms and Collaboration platforms and communication tools.
  • Experience in dealing with vendors and vendors governance.
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment.
  • Infrastructures troubleshooting build and deliver experience a must.
  • Experience of having led an Infrastructure support teams
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product and project development lifecycle.
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Understand Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principals at a high level.

  • Excellent Analytical, Troubleshooting and Problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication and able to manage key stakeholders i.e. project team, security, compliance and IT operations. Strong experience in communication and messaging product management role.
  • Good understanding on basic networking technology e.g. TCPIP, latency, capacity management, etc.
  • Good knowledge in virtualisation/hypervisor technologies on various operating platforms
  • Able to independently make decisions with minimal direction from manager, based on industry knowhow and product expertise. Knows what's best for the business.
  • Has strong portfolio management skills to be able to manage this huge portfolio of products that has a direct impact to end users
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • ITIL certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Product Management, Operations and deployment management.
  • Proven success as a product developer in a non-managerial role
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge in cloud-based collaboration solutions.
  • Technical certifications like in prime vendor (Cisco, Juniper, AWS, MS Azure, etc) solutions and cloud-based products. Excellent leadership skill
  • PMP, Cloud (AWS/other), VMware certification is added advantage.
