Position Overview
DuPont, a premier multi-industrial company, is undergoing a significant transformation. As we transition to a new organizational structure following the spin-off of our Electronics business, the role of HR is becoming increasingly critical.
We are seeking a dynamic HR Specialist to join our team and work closely with the Japan HR Lead to support the foundation of our evolving organization. This is a high-impact role that goes beyond routine operations—you will be empowered to identify challenges, propose solutions, and drive improvements.
In addition to managing core HR functions such as payroll and benefits, you will serve as a trusted partner to employees at our manufacturing sites, helping to implement change on the ground. If you're ready to take ownership and contribute to building the future of DuPont, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
1. Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Monthly payroll and bonus calculations (in collaboration with external vendors)
- Social insurance procedures (in collaboration with external vendors)
- Year-end tax adjustments and statutory reporting
- Management and operation of employee benefits programs
- Lead cross-border projects related to company restructuring as Japan Payroll leader
2. Site HR Support (Utsunomiya & Soma)
- Provide comprehensive HR support to leaders at Utsunomiya and Soma sites
- Handle labor-related inquiries and conduct employee consultations
- Drive recruitment activities as a talent acquisition specialist
- Plan and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement
3. Process Improvement & Efficiency
- Review and improve existing HR processes
- Collaborate with HR service centers to streamline operations
- Participate in various HR-related projects

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR and payroll management in Japan.
- Payroll Knowledge: Solid understanding of Japanese payroll systems, tax laws, and social insurance programs.
- HR Knowledge: Highly functioning independent generalist with knowledge of best practices in HR and Japanese labor laws and experience supporting the employee life cycle, employee relations and performance management.
- HR Systems: Familiarity with HRIS software, payroll systems, and tools commonly used in Japan.
- Language: Fluency in both Japanese and English (both written and spoken) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility & Time Management : Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Teamwork: Experience with international teams or working in a multicultural environment
