Cybersecurity QA Engineer

Ahead Group are seeking a dedicated QA Engineer for one of our E-Commerce clients to contribute to the development and enhancement of our in-house cybersecurity products and solutions. This is a key role where you will be responsible for testing, verifying, and automating processes that ensure the quality and security of our products. You will work closely with development teams to uphold the highest standards of service quality, continuously improving testing procedures and practices. This role offers opportunities to drive innovations in test automation and continuous testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Design: Collaborate in the planning and design of detailed test strategies and cases to ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Test Execution and Analysis: Prepare, execute, and analyze test scripts, working closely with senior engineers to ensure all tests meet required standards.
  • Code Review: Participate in test code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards and best practices.
  • Test Verification: Engage in analyzing test results to confirm that products meet all expected quality and security standards.
  • Test Automation Infrastructure: Support the design and upkeep of a robust test automation infrastructure.
  • Continuous Testing: Contribute to the establishment of a continuous testing environment to allow for ongoing quality assessments.
  • Script Creation: Write and maintain test automation scripts for UI, API, and web applications, with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Research and Development: Stay up to date on the latest testing technologies and trends, contributing to the continuous improvement of our automation practices.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams including software developers, product managers, and other engineers to ensure seamless quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and quality control.
  • 1+ years of experience in test automation and implementation.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following test automation frameworks: Playwright, Karate, Selenium, Rest Assured, Cypress, etc.
  • Strong background in creating maintainable test code for UI and API tests.
  • Proficient in working with different layers of testing: unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, etc.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like Gatling, JMeter, etc.
  • Familiar with at least one unit test framework (e.g., JUnit, NUnit).
  • Ability to create detailed test plans, patterns, and test cases.
  • Solid understanding of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with developers, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong technical writing skills for clear documentation.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.

Desired Skills:

  • Advanced degree (MS) in Computer Science or a related field.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with security testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related automation tools.
  • Leadership experience: coaching, mentoring, and guiding junior team members.
  • A strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and commitment to delivering quality work.
