About the Role
As a Social Media Manager, you will support high-profile gaming clients in Japan and overseas, driving social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement.
A major portion of your responsibilities will involve regular reporting and alignment with Japanese client teams, requiring strong communication skills and cultural fluency.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute social media strategies aligned with client and organizational objectives
Create, curate, and manage high-quality content (posts, images, videos, reels, infographics)
Engage with communities by responding to comments and inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Collaborate with cross-functional and client-side teams to maintain consistent branding and messaging
Identify emerging social media trends and propose innovative approaches for content and engagement
Monitor performance metrics, prepare structured reports, and provide data-driven recommendations
Manage paid social media campaigns and budgets to maximize reach, engagement, and ROI
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and new digital platforms
Qualifications
Native-level Japanese language proficiency
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred)
4+ years of experience in social media management or global-focused digital marketing
Demonstrated success in delivering impactful social media strategies and campaigns
Deep understanding of major social media platforms, content formats, and audience behaviors
Ability to produce modern, engaging, and visually compelling content
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to optimize performance metrics
Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools
Required Skills
Experience in gaming, entertainment, or consumer-facing digital brands
Cross-cultural communication experience
Familiarity with influencer marketing, paid media, or community management
