LightSpeed Japan Studio is a game development studio dedicated to crafting original AAA action game titles for global audiences. Led by industry veteran Hideaki Itsuno, the studio operates across two locations in Tokyo and Osaka.

仕事内容/What The Role Entails

仕事内容

・ゲーム内レベルデザインの設計・構築

ステージ構造、敵の配置、ギミック、導線、探索要素などを含むゲーム内のプレイ空間を設計し、プレイヤーの体験を演出します。

・難易度曲線と進行設計

ゲームの序盤から終盤にかけての難易度の変化や学習曲線を意識し、プレイヤーが自然にスキルアップできるようにステージ構成を調整します。

・ナラティブやシステムとの整合性の確保

ストーリー展開やゲームシステムと整合性を持たせながら、シームレスに進行するレベル体験を設計します。

・プレイテストとレベルチューニング

ユーザーテストや開発中のプレイを通じて、レベル構成の面白さ・導線の分かりやすさ・テンポ感などを検証し、継続的に改善します。

・ツールを用いたマップ作成と実装作業

エンジン内ツールやレベルエディタを使用して、実際のマップ作成・配置を行い、仕様を実装まで担当します。

Job Description

・Design and Construction of In-Game Level Layouts Plan and create gameplay spaces that include stage structures, enemy placement, gimmicks, player routes, and exploration elements, crafting engaging experiences for players.

・Difficulty Curve and Progression Design Adjust stage compositions to ensure a natural learning curve and smooth skill progression from the beginning to the end of the game.

・Ensuring Narrative and System Consistency Design seamless level experiences that align with story progression and game systems.

・Playtesting and Level Tuning Conduct user tests and in-development play sessions to verify the fun factor, clarity of routes, and pacing of levels, making continuous improvements based on feedback.

・Map Creation and Implementation Using Tools Use in-engine tools and level editors to create maps, place objects, and handle implementation in accordance with specifications.

応募資格/Who We Look For

応募条件

・コンソール・PC向けゲームにおけるレベルデザインの実務経験 ・空間構成力およびプレイヤー体験を考慮したステージ設計スキル

・プレイテストに基づくチューニング力(テンポ、難易度、導線など)

・ゲームエンジン(Unreal Engine、Unityなど)を用いたレベル作成経験 ・開発チームと連携するための仕様書作成・説明能力

・戦闘・成長・探索など他システムとの連携を意識したレベル構築の視点 歓迎スキル

・3Dアクションゲームにおける空間設計の経験 ・スクリプトやトリガーを用いたイベント演出の構築経験

・カメラや演出の知識を活かしたシネマティックなレベル設計 ・多国籍チームとの共同開発経験

Qualifications

・Proven experience in level design for console and/or PC games

・Strong spatial composition skills and the ability to design stages with player experience in mind

・Ability to fine-tune gameplay based on playtest results (e.g., pacing, difficulty, player guidance)

・Experience creating levels using game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity

・Skill in creating and explaining specifications for effective cross-team collaboration ・Understanding of how to design levels that integrate seamlessly with systems such as combat, progression, and exploration Preferred Skills

・Experience in spatial design for 3D action games

・Ability to create event-driven experiences using scripting and triggers

・Knowledge of cameras and visual direction for cinematic level design

・Experience working on development projects with multinational teams

※一般社員の場合、固定残業代月35時間分が含まれます。

管理職の場合、固定残業代10時間分が含まれます。

就業時間 09:30 ~ 18:30 休憩時間 60分

フレックスタイムあり

完全週休2日制(土日・祝日)

入社初年度は、入社月により期間按分付与。在籍年数踏まえて最大22日

年末年始休暇(12/30~1/3)
