The Business Innovation Department within the Commerce & Marketing Company primarily launches and operates new businesses in the lodging, travel, and leisure fields.
We operate the 'Rakuten STAY business, which operates accommodation facilities with our own brand, the 'Vacation STAY' business, which is an accommodation and private lodging reservation site, and the 'Rakuten Travel Experience' business, which is an activity reservation site.

To further support solid growth going forward, we are recruiting members to work in concert with the sales and operations teams - going beyond mere numerical management to maximize performance by overseeing and supporting decision-making.
To manage and support our rapidly evolving business, in addition to regular management operations, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks with varying granularity, such as maintaining various master data, developing systems from scratch and implementation, organizing operations with consideration of cash flows, and providing operational direction.
The sales planning division is a hub-like organization that interacts with various other departments. Being positioned between the field sites and the company's core, there will be times when you need to discuss field operations and rule maintenance, as well as attend management meetings on business performance, requiring you to take both perspectives into account.
In this environment, by proactively tackling your work, reflecting, learning, and applying lessons to the next challenge, you can experience the entire process of issue identification, multifaceted analysis from multiple perspectives, root cause analysis, solution development, designing PDCA cycles and management tools, implementing and adjusting solutions, and institutionalizing solutions within the organization.

There are many instances where new initiatives such as defining standards, establishing mechanisms for operational execution, and implementing automation and mechanization are carried out across the following business domains. For a newly established company, while creating the next output and next job is crucial, supporting these endeavors is fundamental.

Income and Expenditure Reports
We provide income and expenditure reports to owners who have entrusted us with operational management. Income and expenditure information is compiled from reports submitted by various business departments and outputted in the form of income and expenditure reports.
You will be responsible for operations, information processing and verification, understanding the business model, cash flow, and commercial flow, as well as the improvement of tools and systems, overall business flow enhancement, and the formulation, improvement, and operation of the check process.
Information collected from each sales and operational section, organized and managed by our group, is utilized as information assets for management accounting and improvement of property operation itself.

The team is made up of people from a variety of industries and professions.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Experience
Industry Background: Open
Over 3 years of experience in tasks related to numerical and sales management
E.g. experience in sales administration and accounting where posting requests were made to accounting
Strong mindset for continuously thinking about how to improve operations
Skills
Accurate and precise processing abilities
Basic Excel operation
Experience handling records processing of thousands to tens of thousands of rows (aggregation, determination, and other processing)
Use of basic functions: SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, VLOOKUP, etc.
Ability to set the final output image and proceed with analysis towards it (such as creating charts for comparing XX with XX to make XX decisions)
Eagerness and capability to learn new things and apply them in practice
Desired Qualifications:
Bookkeeping qualifications "Boki"
Experience in improving and designing/introducing business flows
Experience in system design (including application creation using non-programming/no-code platforms such as Kintone, Rakuraku Hanbai) and operational introduction
Database construction using Access
Business automation through programming such as Excel VBA
Business automation through programming languages like Python
Accounting experience in small and medium-sized enterprises
Experience in planning roles such as management planning, business planning, sales planning, marketing, etc., in accommodation booking sites (OTA), travel industry, and lodging businesses
Experience in the entire or partial process of "identifying problems → analysis → devising solutions → building PDCA cycles → planning and creating management tools → various adjustments and negotiations for operational establishment" in management planning, business planning, sales planning, and other planning departments (scale and content are not specified)
