Position Overview
As a Strategic Planning, Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for arranging collaboration with partners outside of Boston Scientific Japan, launching OEM products, and exploring new business opportunities in Japan's complex and changing social environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Facilitation: Project management together with business unit project manager for launching OEM products, including arrangement for smooth collaboration with other divisions and external suppliers, sufficient support for decision-making by senior management, and process reform for better and efficient work.
- New Business Development: Seeks white space and propose new solutions in a timely manner, including thorough communication with business units, enhances networks with external suppliers or other enterprises such as startups and venture capitals, and transforms business development activity from only OEM to additional non-product service introduction leading to whole BSJ growth.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of Business Development experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven project management skills including progress tracking, quality control, consensus building, and overall project completion.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the medical industry, including relationships with physicians, sales companies, and patients.
- Excellent communication, fairness, and reliability to facilitate consensus-building with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new areas, even with limited prior knowledge.
Language Skills
Must be able to read and write English, and have business-level English skills to facilitate discussions with APAC and external partners.
