The Rakuten Insurance Group continues to grow steadily, aiming to become the next pillar of Rakuten's FinTech business, following Rakuten Card, Rakuten Bank, and Rakuten Securities.
Rakuten Life Insurance is one of the core businesses within the Rakuten Insurance Group.
It offers a variety of insurance products, including simple term and whole life insurance, medical insurance, cancer insurance, dementia insurance, comprehensive insurance for younger generations, and group credit life insurance for housing loans.
The company provides multiple proposal channels, such as face-to-face agency channels operating nationwide and internet channels that leverage the extensive Rakuten membership base.
As a familiar and approachable life insurance company, and as an innovative life insurance provider utilizing the technological expertise of the Rakuten Group, Rakuten Life Insurance aims to deliver groundbreaking insurance solutions.

Department Overview
We are responsible for developing the infrastructure that supports Rakuten Life Insurance's services.
By utilizing new technologies, we prepare the necessary environments for applications to operate, create user-friendly environments for business departments, and continuously improve Rakuten Life Insurance's services. This is a critical position that underpins the foundation of Rakuten Life Insurance.

Position Details
We will determine your placement based on your previous experience from the following positions:
You will primarily be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of networks in development and production environments.
You will mainly handle the design, construction, and maintenance of databases in development and production environments for the "life insurance" business.
You will primarily be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of servers/middleware in development, testing, and production environments.

Partner Companies: Approximately 30
Within the System Infrastructure Department, there are two groups: the Infrastructure Development Group and the Operations Group. This position is planned to be assigned to the Infrastructure Development Group.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience as an engineer in either network, database, or server.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a project leader for entire system projects
- Work experience in the financial industry
- Experience in building virtualized environments
- Self-Starter: Someone who is proactive, takes ownership, and has a forward-thinking attitude rather than being passive.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to influence and collaborate with others, including coordination with other departments, to drive tasks forward through effective communication.
- Hands-On Approach: Not only capable of management but also able to perform tasks such as system construction and troubleshooting independently.
- Over 2 years of experience in managing network-related projects
- Over 5 years of experience in requirements definition, design, and construction of networks (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers)
- Over 5 years of experience in network maintenance
- Over 5 years of experience in requirements definition, design, and construction of databases
- Over 2 years of experience in requirements definition, design, and construction of Windows Servers
- Over 3 years of experience in design and construction of middleware
- Over 1 year of experience in design and construction of Linux Servers
