ABOUT THE ROLE

• We are looking for a high-energy, proactive, and versatile Business Operations Associate to join our Japan team. This is a generalist role, ideal for someone early in their career who wants to grow fast by owning a wide variety of responsibilities across our GTM functions including marketing, business development, operations, and admin.
• You will work and learn directly with the Country Manager of Japan and collaborate across functionssales, sustainability consulting, marketing, admin, product, and more. This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive in navigating unstructured environments, moves quickly to make things happen, and is eager to grow into a specialized role in the future (e.g., strategy, sales / partnerships, marketing, operations, customer success).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Japan GTM Support
  • Help with sales and partnership enablement, creation of marketing materials
  • Assist with local events, logistics, marketing materials, translations, and social media
• Daily Office Operations Support
  • Support day-to-day operations of the Japan office, including scheduling, documentation, and internal coordination
• Ownership of Core Admin Processes
  • Manage contracts, invoices, payments, and expense tracking with accuracy and efficiency
• Sales, Sustainability, and Customer Success Support
  • Support Sales, Sustainability Consultants, and Customer Success teams with CRM updates, documentation, and meeting coordination
• Strategic and Reporting Support
  • Provide ad hoc support on strategy initiatives and reporting for the Country Manager and APAC leadership
• Startup Execution Powerhouse
  • Be the go-to person to get things donequickly, reliably, and with a high bar for qualityin a fast-paced startup

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Native-level Japanese and business-level English (spoken and written)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability

• Proficient in Google Workspace, Notion, Hubspot etc.

• Quick to learn new tools and platforms

• Clear, effective communicator

• Proactive and dependableable to work with minimal supervision

YOUR PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• 1-3 years of experience in consulting, startups, operations, project coordination, or business admin

• Experience in fast-paced or cross-functional teams is a plus

• Former management consultants (1-2 years) or similar profiles welcome

• Interest in climate tech, sustainability, or SaaS is highly valued
