Title:
Ceramic Heater Design Engineer
The Ceramic Heater Design Engineer will be responsible for the end‑to‑end development of ceramic-based heating components, including thermal design, structural design, simulation, prototyping, and validation. This role requires strong expertise in heat transfer, materials, and mechanical or electrical design, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers. You will contribute to next‑generation heater technologies used in emerging industries.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design ceramic heaters with optimized heat distribution, thermal efficiency and structural integrity.
-Develop heater element layouts, insulation structures and thermal interfaces.
-Select appropriate ceramic materials based on thermal and mechanical requirements.
-Create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings for prototypes and mass production.
Thermal Simulation & Analysis:
-Perform thermal simulations using CFD tools (e.g., Fluent, STAR‑CCM+, FLOEFD).
-Analyze heat conduction, convection and radiation to predict temperature distribution and thermal stress.
-Identify thermal bottlenecks and propose design improvements.
Prototyping & Testing:
-Lead prototype fabrication based on CAD data and design specifications.
-Conduct thermal performance tests, durability tests and environmental evaluations.
-Analyze test data and correlate results with simulation models.
-Implement design modifications based on evaluation outcomes.
-Technical Communication & Collaboration
-Work closely with OEM customers and suppliers to define requirements and propose technical solutions.
-Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and presentation materials.
-Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and materials engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and reliability.
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
-Japanese at least N4~N3 is essential for daily communication and collaboration with internal teams.
-3+ years of experience in thermal design, heat transfer engineering or heater development.
-Hands‑on experience with CFD simulation tools (Fluent, STAR‑CCM+, FLOEFD, or equivalent).
-Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, etc.).
-Experience with thermal testing, durability evaluation or material characterization.
-Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
-Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
-Driver license (JP)
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in ceramic heater design, electric heaters or thermal components.
-Knowledge of ceramic materials, polymer materials or composite structures.
-Familiarity with FEM tools for structural or thermal‑stress analysis.
-Understanding of electrical control systems, sensors or temperature regulation.
-Ability to work in Japanese for technical meetings and documentation.
