Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical discussions and requirement analysis with Japanese automakers
- Define system requirements and architecture design
- Coordinate specifications and development activities with Gentex headquarters (System / Software teams)
- Create system test specifications and develop validation plans
- Execute system testing and evaluation with HILS and related ECUs
- Conduct technical demonstrations and product presentations for customers
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems or automotive product development
- Hands-on experience in requirement definition, architecture design, or functional specification development
- Understanding of software development processes or architecture concepts (direct development experience is a plus)
- Ability to read and understand technical documents in English, and to communicate basic technical topics (strong motivation to improve English skills is valued)
- Experience coordinating across multiple departments or sites and providing clear technical explanations
- A proactive mindset with the ability to think independently and take initiative in problemsolving
- Fluent Japanese communication skills for effective participation in customer meetings and technical coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in system development at an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier (with leadership experience in requirements, design, or validation)
- Knowledge of development processes related to functional safety and cybersecurity (ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ASPICE, etc.)
- Experience using requirement management tools (e.g., DOORS)
- Knowledge and practical experience with automotive networks (e.g., CAN, LIN, CANoe)
- Experience participating in English-based meetings or reviews, or collaborating with overseas teams
- Basic understanding of vehicle systems and ECU architecture
- Knowledge of electronic hardware
