About the Role
PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS The full lifecycle project is implemented starting from the Requirement phase. With three core business systems in the supply chain—Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System (TMS), and Freight Calculation System (Fare system)—this is considered a large-scale warehouse project with high complexity in both business operations and system integration requirements in Japan. Through this project, FPT will help the client bring 34 warehouses nationwide into operation, with an extensive scope estimated at nearly 650 functionalities. Among these, the WMS is the most important system of the project, serving as the central component for managing and operating logistics and warehouse activities.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of logistics systems such as WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System) in the role of Engineer.
- Responsible for various phases in the project lifecycle, including:
- ED (External Design)
- DD (Detailed Design)
- Programming (PG) / Unit Testing (UT)
- Priority is given to participating in and taking charge of upstream phases such as:
- ED (External Design)
- IT (Integration Testing)
- Managing and coordinating technical aspects when necessary.
- Directly collaborate with Japanese clients to:
- Clarify business requirements and system requirements.
- Review and discuss design documents.
- Explain specifications/designs to the offshore team.
- Support QA, handle, and fix issues during testing and release phases as needed.
Qualifications
- Experienced in participating in External Design (ED) and Integration Testing (IT), with the ability to read and write design documents.
- Able to communicate in Japanese (for technical discussions with clients).
- Proactive, highly responsible, and accustomed to working on projects for Japanese clients.
- Experience in developing logistics systems (WMS/TMS) is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Proactive and responsible work ethic.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Japanese.
- Experience in logistics systems development.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WMS and TMS systems.
- Familiarity with Japanese business culture.
Pay range and compensation package
Annual income: 5,000,000 to 11,000,000 yen. Salary review once a year. Bonus equivalent to 2 to 3.2 months' salary. Full benefits according to Japanese labor laws.
